01Will a root canal hurt?+
The tooth is numbed before treatment. Most patients feel pressure, not pain. Mild soreness afterwards is common and usually settles.
02Why not remove the tooth?+
If the tooth can be saved, root canal treatment lets you keep your natural tooth and avoids leaving a gap.
03How long does it take?+
Many treatments take one or two visits. Difficult anatomy, infection or retreatment can need more time.
04Do I need a crown?+
Back teeth often need a crown or other strong restoration after root canal treatment. Your dentist will advise you.
